This is what moved us in April:
Revenue increased by +24%, loss decreased by -1%
Already in March, our monthly recurring revenue (MRR) increased strongly by +15%. April even exceeded this growth with +24% to $10,997, crossing $10k MRR!
Our costs increased by +21% to $12,471. This was firstly due to the fact that we had custom software developed by freelancers for the first time. These are plugins that extend the functionality of Friendly Automate (Mautic). We will release these plugins as open source.
Secondly, Friendly became an independent company in January. Some costs such as accounting and office rent were previously covered by Wortspiel LLC, from which Friendly emerged. Since April, Friendly now bears these costs itself.

Friendly Automate: new multi-domain functionality
All our products are based on open source. In April we developed custom software for the first time. A new plugin improves the support of Friendly Automate (Mautic) for multiple domains.
There are many reasons for companies to use multiple domains: be it for different products or for country-specific sites (.ch domain for Switzerland, .de domain for Germany, etc.).
Previously, it was already possible to send emails from different domains. However, the unsubscribe link and the tracking links always led to the main domain of the instance. This was not ideal for the deliverability of the emails.
With the new plugin, the unsubscribe link and tracking links automatically correspond to the sender domain, which increases the reputation of the email.
We will release the plugin as open source so that all users of Mautic can benefit from it.
Friendly became a partner of Mautic – as one of only 5 companies worldwide
Friendly Automate is based on Mautic, the most popular open-source marketing automation software.
In April, Mautic launched an official partner program. As one of only five companies worldwide, Friendly qualified for partner status.
Joey goes Africa – at least a little bit
The major Nigerian city of Lagos has a very active community on Mautic, on which Friendly Automate is based.
This community meets at the regular Mautic Meetup Lagos. In April, our Joey was allowed to give a video presentation on the “Top 3 Plugins for Mautic”:
